You'll be strapped to an instructor, and both of you will be dropped from 7,000-14,000 feet, freefalling for up to a minute. Companies to consider are Pacific Skydiving Center and Skydive Hawaii. Skydive Hawaii has a tendency to do their beginner tandems from 7,000-8,000 feet, whereas Pacific usually goes all the way to 14,000 feet. So if a longer freefall is what you want, definitely go with Pacific.
